Daisies

Peeking through the verdant lawns
In their snowy white dresses,
Scattered through the emerald green
With gay upturned faces

 These clusters of starry blossoms
Are none other than daisies
Looking pretty, rather dainty
In sweet little posies

This many-petaled flower
Never fails to please me
Its simple, flawless beauty
Touches something within me.

Nestling between blades of grass
It seems to tell us all
Life is truly beautiful,
Hark! Hear nature's call.
